You SHOULD get a discount yes. Over time most of these places have agreed to an 80/90 discount. You can only do it via phone though - not through the online shop. Just remind them of the Roller DVD.

will post what i have to pay and where,looking at sanding the whole van with 320grit with an air orbital as the van has had a very poor but thick respray by the previous owner,was going to paint the roof white and rest of van ral 5012 blue,so i am hoping to get away with a litre for the roof(tin top) and maybe 2.5litres for the rest of the van

Good question CovKid. I did a coat of brown a couple of years ago and have decided I don't like it and bought 5l of yellow over the winter. It's barely above freezing and isn't forecast to improve over the next week or so but yellow over brown is probably a proper pain the neck so I do need to get started with sanding asap really.

Maybe when the clocks change, its too dark in the evening to see if I've flatted or not.

As much as I love the rustoleum jobs I've done I'm going to have a go at spraying mine in acrylic, after I've blasted the blasted seams!! The thing with this approach is that if it comes out a mess I can always revert to rustoleum, knowing I'll get an acceptable job.

Just tried to find it on the 'net. No luck How does it work then? Is it just a gun needing a compressor? I have a hobby type compressor. Is that sufficient? Thanks for mentioning it Harry.
E D I T: Found it, but still not sure if my hobby compressor will be strong enough It's similar to the one they have on sale at present.

Hi Megs, Yes,the compressor they have will cope with it, i looked at that too

SB Is asking for 6.5 cu.ft./min (cfm), think their comp is about 10.5, think mine might struggle but reckoned that short bursts would do, and for £10 worth a punt

Said this in the past, but ALDI's spot blaster is great for seams. Its slow going, but it does the job.

What's the lowest consistant temperature the paint will harden in. I need to get 1 coat on over the next 2-3 weeks on but at the moment we're peaking at 5 odd centigrade and dipping down below freezing at night. I'm guessing at 15° and above?

Hope they have some left then. Didn't get around to going

Beware frosty nights too. I would wait till May this year. I did half a coat in April last year but that was only because the weather was above average temps.

A nice sunny day heps it to harden

You're all wusses. I can often be seen prepping a van in a blizzard in just my pants.
