In that case a current mot test certificate is in force still so no problem at all...not sure if it had expired...I'm going to investigate but I think you are allowed to and from a test station as long as its insured, no tax is needed as you can't buy it without an mot pass cert...it does need to be booked in for the exclusion to apply..

I have tax and its insured.

What you meen by exclusion?

The exclusion as in....it can be driven to a pre booked test station without tax or a current test legally.

Handbrake is a cable. It seems to get stuck at random for a few mins for no reason and it might not happen for months. When i put the handbrake down the wheels still wont move. Then i wait for a few mins and they unlock.

Also if i park on a hill thats steepish it will start rolling even in gear and handbrake on when foot isnt on brake pedel. So i have to move to a flat or not so steep road.

Sounds like the shoes are sticking to the drums after standing...possible that they might be contaminated with fluid due to Leakey cylinders but as long as they pull up evenly and don't bind could scrape thru the test...my hand brake is not amazing and it's all healthy in there..might be worth whipping the drums off and giving them a wash out with brake cleaner...and assess the state of things, even if it fails on brakes efficiency you can sort it and get a retest if your quick.

Well that doesnt sound too bad. Fingers crossed on passing.

Pass or fail it would be prudent to have a look at your brakes...clean and adjust is free.

Yes...all came that way, disc can be retro fitted to the rear, just occurred to me that if your prop was fitted your van wouldn't be subject to a brake roller test and iffy rear brakes would most likely be over looked....pity you can't fit the prop or the test...or maybe the tester will overlook its absence and not use the rollers.

I could fit the prop before but im not sure about the vc yet so dont fancy driving with prop on.

Hand brakes are always a bit marginal on T25s, and Syncros...

Sometimes rear cables are very stiff (frayed, dry, worn internally, plastic coating coming off inner etc)... its possible they might take a quick look for you if it is near but not quite up to snuff on that. Main brakes are done with an accelerometer for 4WD, but if your prop-off then tell them, and they can use the rollers.

If cleaned out (de-dusted) and adjusted up nicely, h/b cables are good to reasonable, then should pass the h/b test, but not a big margin

Had MOT today its failed, but im chuffed as its only a few small things.

Windscreen washer pump.
Offside (tailpipe) exhaust has leak of gases.
Exhaust has excess level of smoke

So new pump, new air filter, repair exhaust.

You let it go to the test with no washer pump? Excess level of smoke over here means your engine is fecked ....
