Hi Mike,
I've not been around these parts for a while so sorry for going over old ground, but its got to the point where its last chance saloon time for my van which has been standing outside for the last few years. I'm tackling the rear archs and related panels first and want to use the original VW shape archs. The question is where did/would you advise joining the horizontal inner part of the arch. I have some areas that have gone all the way to the reinforcement panel. Seems sound under the lip where its spot welded at the edge of the boot floor. Would lapping and spotting at this point be good do you think? Ive not found any pictures of you actualy fitting this panel just the tall ones.
I have Schofield panels but they seem incredibly thin and would love to put some more substantial metal back. OEM panels would of course be the ultimate but short of that any recomendations?
Cheers.
