Well if you get the same bod again, mention 'Europarts' and he might change his tune. 80/90 is well known by GSF and you don't need a card to qualify for discount. Must have been a newbie in the store
Rustoleum will accept 80/90 (negotiated that a while ago and they even show the early roller vid on their site) but you do have to call them as site not geared for club discount. In Ireland, Paintshop.ie also accept 80/90 members.

I also have had GSF asking for membership card and number. I explained you do not get a card and I can log in on my iphone and show the member number, but not good enough.
Apparently they all have to ask now.

I'm wondering what to do about the area (that side planks cover) to tidy it up. I'm on a very tight budget so can't afford anything too specialist. Was considering masking off the area above the ridge (where side planks go up to), and applying hammerite to achieve a stone-chip effect. This would cover the imperfections, etc. Anyone else tried this? The rest of the van is fairly good paint-wise so I don't want to go above that hem line.

I think metalmicky put stonechip on one of his vans...covered the bottom 6 inches or so the whole way round. I think he called it panelguard.....but I think UPOL Gravitex could be the same thing? Comes in 1 litre bottles, less that a tenner for a bottle, but you really need a compressor and a shutz gun or even a normal spray gun to apply it. It leaves a rippled orange peel surface which would cover over some minor imperfections.

Thanks for that suggestion. Ideally I'd like to apply something by brush, but I appreciate that a gun will give a better finish. Wondering how to take white hammerite to a slightly off-white colour to blend better?

Hammerite a terrible choice for anywhere visible (ie cosmetic appearance) as its SO difficult to remove later and/or sand - smooth or hammered finish. Up to you but I'd only use that in areas that are unseen or where you never expect to visit again. No reason why you couldn't use Rustoleum though - just treat any corrosion first.
