Why is this post up?? We are here to support and encourage Syncro owners and pre syncro owners!!!!
I have always been excepted, supported and encouraged by the syncrounauts
I fear there is an element that has a non off road view on things . . .

Not sure that this thread is in bad taste.

I think its a tribute to Cooper that she has generated so many replies in so little time. If everyone was pi$$ed off they would ignore and not reply. All have tried to give helpful advice and this thread is just a light hearted reflection on her enthusiasm to find a syncro.

Most of us suffer with syncro fever, as soon as a van is up for sale on ebay its gets pulled apart on here. Cooper seems to have the bug in anticipation of her purchase, nothing wrong with that.

Good luck I hope she finds one soon :ok

Haha it's brilliant.

She has captured was most of us had when we first looked at a syncro.

She has got the biggest case of syncro fever EVER and it hasn't been taken negatively at all. I'm sure she would agree her perceived need for a syncro is far beyond mankinds need for a cure to the common cold.

Nothing wrong with enthusiasm, syncro fever is something to be proud of, well it should be in this forum :ok

Good luck on the search cooper, take the advice and buy wisely

Not sure if it's in bad taste :? and don't think it was put up with that intention by Ian, Cooper please don't take offense as the others stated as owners we can all relate to your enthusiasm to own one we've all been through it both the joy and heartache, hence all the cautionary advice on the other thread.

I'm glad that this post has turned out positive for cooper but I am still not happy with the concept!

That's ok then! I like the way this Syncro section kind of bridges the gap between 80-90 and brick-yard (ok, the tamer end of BY!). Maybe it's the turmoil of syncro ownership that thickens the skin!

Keep the questions coming cooper, it's the whole idea!

Not that it's anyone's business, but for the record I did actually offer my syncro to Cooper, but we failed to bridge the gap between my balance sheet of receipts and her budget.

I might still put it up for sale, might not. The pills seem to be working for me at last.

Quite fancy one of these for the winter :

having given this a lot of thought, i believe that "The BCE" had the worst case of syncro fever so far...
he was picking my brains for over a year before he bought the chunky galvanised van which i think is now Slobbo's and then he joined on here
https://club8090.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.p ... 4#p7348154
he had the van for a couple of months of sleepless nights before swapping it for a much more sensible one

thats both vans together when he did the swap

they were both in the region of £11k as far as i remember so he definately put his money where his mouth was.
after several more months of sleepless nights with a bit of offroading in the snow thrown in, he sold the other van too and was able to sleep easy once again with the passat he bought on the driveway instead.

he still has fantasies about buying a cheap sinca just to play with but only when he has lots of spare cash

being able to sleep well at night is worth a lot.

A westy high top has to be the most practical camper ever made. That looks very nice. It's just a shame the look so ugly from the rear.
