IMO the tiptronic functionality on any gearbox without either sequential shifting and/or an electro-hydraulic clutch pack instead of a torque-converter is a bloody waste of time.

DSG is not a normal tiptronic gearbox, unless you have driven one don't knock it, it does everything better than a normal gearbox auto or manual.

I know DSG is supposed to be very good, hence I'm not knocking it, especially as I haven't driven it.
Tiptronic on the other hand, I've suffered plenty of times and hate with well-reasoned passion.

I agree tiptronic is a waste of space, a computer will always make the better call on when to change and as a result change quicker and smoother.

£5600 last time I saw, down from £6500 last year. Don't get me wrong it's a nice truck, but for that sort of money I'd want a new 2.1, power steering and a tristar interior too
