you could get 65 @ 3100 ish with 6.16`s but you`d have to run 245 /75/16`s and i`m not sure you`d manage that with the 16" arches.

with my tyres you`d be about 3300 @ 65mph

what tyre size you running?

i'm running 205/80/16 on standard steels
just checked that size (245/70/16) it has a 40mm bigger diameter or 5.45% bigger. What width rims have you got them on?

i`m running 255 / 65 / 16 on ml`s. think their 7"

you should get 65 at about 3300 with those tyres and a .7 4th. still a bit short really.

you must be doing nearly 4000 @ 65 now.

I think 60mph is 4300 and 50mph is 3900
Just looked it up 60mph =4130rpm
50mph = 3400rpm

So is a .7 4th the longest you can get then?

Would love a diesel rev counter to fit in place of my clock

looking at that again, its rubbish! based on 14" wheels :roll:
this one is better http://westfield-world.com/gtc.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
with my ratios and gears
49.2mph = 3000rpm
57.4mph = 3500rpm
65.6mph = 4000rpm
So not as bad as i first thought
Whats a good rpm for constant driving on a AAZ?

thought those figures were wrong. the rjes figures are for much smaller tyres. my figures will be closer to correct with the size tyres you have. :ok

I never chased you though :lol:
It just sounds as though i'm thrashing it by going over 60. Really need a rev counter

Fan wise, it does run a bit hot, if I do a constant 60 it will sit to the right of red light, but water temp is about 90 and oil temp slightly higher so not to bad. But hit a hill and temp climbs quickly (it falls quickly as soon as hill finishes) I have a feeling that the rad is not as effecient as it could be, looks to be original one. So might get a new one. But all this could be normal?
Gears are better than I thought, but the van feels a lot happier at 55 than it does at 60

AAZ's do get hot on long gradual long straight climbs on motor ways, but like you said soon cool down again.
