Hello,
I think you're all overdoing it a trifle
Get to a pressure washer, preferably with access to an air line as well.
Clean everything underneath you can get to.
Get a tin of WD 40 or similar and get spray onto all the rusty exhaust studs, heater cables, handbrake cable nuts.etc.

You will need metric spanners and sockets, 9 10 13 15 17. Access to a torque wrench.
