I don't think taking the front wheels off is too big a hassle. I just like the idea of being able to still have a a spare wheel carrier on the back.
The front mounted one doesn't do it for me though.

got this one today, quite sturdy and fits well, bonus is it takes four bike. First one on does touch rear tyre though

His stuff is really nice, and if i didnt have a vw spare carrier i would get some kind of set up from him.
But that front carrier is a no-no, almost as dangerous as gowesty's front bumper high lift mount

if your carrying a kiddies bike say 16" wheel put that on 1st and remove saddle , you may miss the wheel , hope this useless information may be of help
