Last time I used it, it was about £7.50. At the time, it was cheaper to pay that than sit in hours of nose to nose traffic on way to Wales but if its now that much, will consider other options including A1 if it comes to it...

Q: What if I turn up without any money?
A: It's an offence to use the M6 Toll without paying. Midland Expressway will issue you with an Unpaid Toll notice with instructions on how to pay. We'll also take your name, address and vehicle registration and will require you to send the payment subsequently.
Notice says if you don't pay within 2 days, you'll be charged an extra £10! (yippu doo dah if you don't have a credit card then.....)
