I think a pic. is needed - I still can't see how you have done that!
looking at the pic in fodtommo's post, on that photo just take the long piece of hose off from the filter at top right and put that in a can or jar of fuel. How have you managed to pour fuel into that?!?!

misunderstood methinks! i took pipe off fuel injection unit,i do now have fuel in the line as i can see the air bubbles shooting back and to when its cranking over but still no life yet,re-charging at mo but will try bleeding injectors again in a bit

sorted the bugga at last,tried all suggestions but just wasnt quite getting there so, tied my bus to another van and towed it in 2nd gear till the airlock cleared!! shes now purring away on the drive wearing a new fanbelt and a completely overhauled fuel system! many many thanks to you guys for the help. leroi

I was just going to suggest towing or finding a long steep hill, basic diesels of the type we have will generally sort their own air locks out if you can churn them for long enuf - but you beat me to it!!

glad ur sorted, nothing more depressing than 'doing a little job' and ending up worse than when you started!
