LPG works out at 10p a mile for me, pop top 19. DG, that is over several thousand miles with all sorts of driving, town, country, motorway runs averaged out.. I don't think diesel would be any cheaper. As somebody said before in, if your van is sound otherwise and you know it, stick with it and gas it up. Steve from gasure will do the conversion for a good price, you will have the money back from Gordon Brown in a few months, and it will certainly be cheaper than the money you would spend putting another van right.

My bus is a daily driver.
I am told that there is abig differnce between the fuel bils of an Aircooled 4 speed and a 5 speed deisel!!

My only means of transportation is a 1600D n/a hightop & a pushbike, both seem to run on fresh air.

I have a 1.6 diesel non turbo t25 and i can get about 100 miles on a tenner...so it works out about £1 for 10 miles! not bad if u ask me!
