hi, sorry about the delay, just wanted to say a huge thanks to the two people that helped me fix my van before we headed off to newquay!! have just had a fantastic 13 days down there and the van never missed a beat, it turned out to be a new battery that was needed even after being told the existing one was ok. so on went a new battery and hey presto no problems in the 800 or so miles ive just done in him!!!
have decided to keeep him now and try to make a bed for the little one for next year so any advice in how to do this wouls be grately appreciated.

Glad you had a good time. If the van doesn't get used much make sure you charge up the battery every once and a while to keep it healthy. Lead acid batteries don't like going completely flat and being recharged. You might find the stereo on your van can drain your battery in a couple weeks if it's not getting used. Keeping a battery charged up can make it last a whole lot longer than one that gets flat and recharged a few times a year.
