Moooore
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NGTYLjqsi58" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
still puzzled. Got my bit o wood and had a good listen about the engine. If I listen to the top of the engine, the sump or on either head all I can hear is a nice chatter chatter.
If I listen on the oil filter, water pump or distributor or the large steel water pipe that runs across the back of the engine just above the main pulley I can hear the low down rattly rattle noise. And also its very audible if you listen to the back box.
I disconnected the belt so the alternator and water pump were not moving and the sound is still there.
The chiff chiff is coming from the heads on the R side of the engine as you look at it, maybe exhaust ??
All suggestions welcome and mucho appreciated. The engine runs fine, should I just ignore it, and if I do and its something major like crank bearings, what's the likely times scale and outcome ?.
