Thank you Tony just a quick update, i have had a pain of a day, got new water pump and thermostat from g&s came home and started to get the old one out all went fine 
till i matched the new pump to the old one they had given me the wrong pump, 
as my old one looked fine i have put that back on. i had a leak on the thermo/housing and the seal on the metal pipe that joins it, well all i have to do now is refill the coolant and bleed it, fingers crossed i dont get a air lock. jen
