ok, so ive done the cleaning, and im pleased to say, thanks to the detol mildew cleaner and some elbow grease that its gone, but the problem i have now which im sure carnt be fixed, is that on my canvas, it seems to be in two layers, now from the outside, it looks fine, but on the inside its left a staining that seems to be inbetween the two canvases, so as im guessing that nothing can be done to get rid of that, and a new canvass is over £500, is there anything that i can stick to the inside of the canvas to hide the marks? ie.a thin vinyl or something that wont crack but wont effect the opening or closing of the roof???? has anybody done this? is it possible? what do you guys think?

thanks again for everybodys help..
skank........

well it seems to be siliconed down to the roof, and to be honest, it wouldnt help me because the staining is inbetween the canvases which seem to be stuck together??????????? does that make any sense at all kev????????

I confess to be being a bit of a cleaning freak plus I valet cars.

My suggestion would be to try and dye it a darker colour. You can get special dyes that you put on with a sponge so it should be quite easy.

Worth a try

Another idea which I used to do on my bay, is to get hold of some of those packets of Silica gel what comes with shoes and suchlike - a few of them in with the folds of the canvas will further help keep it dry...

great idea, i like it, its there for future reference, but as a new canvas is out of the question by the price of things, i think some how im going to have to try and cover the inside canvas with something or other just to cover the visible stains left my the mold, any ideas at all?
