I'm assuming that's a Sprinter with G running gear?

Nope. The sprinters are quite capable in original 4x4 guise. But then you have companies like Iglhaut and Oberaigner who make special versions
Also:
Oberaigner knows the Sprinter 4x4 because Oberaigner created it. Every day the Mercedes-Benz transporter AWD components leave our plant in Austria and are being sent directly to the Daimler production plants in Germany and Spain. Oberaigner quality means genuine Mercedes-Benz quality.
But we go even a step further and offer the Sprinter 4x4 with additional drive options that have been developed and tested under the same conditions like the entire vehicle. Oberaigner only uses components that have been developed specifically for the Sprinter.
This Iglhaut van looks a bit like the VW Crafter Atacama prototype from a few years back.

BTW, I´m perfectly happy with the size and soul of my westy syncro. I´m looking for a sprinter 4x4 doka for daily use.

Like that a lot. Got to love the old 308 style Mercs.

I was quite liking this idea for a while. Make a great Africa-camper.
