yep, i've changed the coil (the old one may have been ok) changed the distributor, isolated all issues. i think i may not have actually ever ran outta fuel but i was more or less empty going up a steep road when the problem first arose.

is it an aluminium component that looks a little like a hard disk from the outside?? apologies as i don't have the machine near me at present and cannot check the details.
