when you say i need a diesel set up from a van what do you mean and the best age of car to go for ass aaz 1900td means nothing to me, sorry for sounding so backward.......
i know you will of gone through this loads of times but id rather get this right first time than be messing around at a later date.
but as a whole are the vw engines better than the french others only the price diferences are massive........

AAZ is out of 90-95 cars. They'll be badged 1.9TD - IIRC there's only one 1.9TD and that's it. Post '95 cars have more electronic security etc and will be TDIs anyway.... Have you searched this forum for posts about people's experiences? That will yield details on what a 'diesel set up' is.
You're cutting out a lot of work for yourself to go from a/c to w/c and diesel. Maybe you should think about buying a different van instead, especially as the a/c vans are becoming more sought after by bone-headed a/c devotees.

you may have a point, i just fancied a challenge but this may be a challenge to far........
