Pics check out fine as far as I can see. Only thing I can suggest is that clutch arm isn't moving far enough to disengage. Getting that short outer cable fitted correctly is important. Clutch cables can stretch though. Have you actually run out of adjustment on the cable? If so, add a washer or two and see if that produces enough movement for it to function correctly - you might be able to pinpoint it then. Bit tricky diagnosing from here but you really want someone in cab operating pedal and you underneath seeing whats going on.

Always hard to tell from pickies but as said looks ok , whats the crud? on the end of spigot shaft.
nice doing ac's dead quick, can you mate them with a couple of bolts in the morning then make sure its in neutral and rotate engine or one shaft (t'other obviously held) and see that they dont interfere, then put it in gear and confirm this by repeating above.
Then can you confirm that you have free play by moving the clutch operating arm, note position when release b'ing makes contact, then use a pipe or something and can you then disengage the clutch , or believe you have and confirm by free rotation of engine,
If you are single crewed its a bit harder,! I have put starter motor on, rest of electrics not connected and crank it whilst manually doing the clutch thing,
As you know, theyre not rocket science, just hard to sus and fix over T'web
