Nothing personal - It was more than OK to drive, mate. I just found it rather unpleasant for rear passengers. I don't need a truck and I'm no urban cowboy

It's all your fault Jed. I wouldn't have been interested in a syncro if you weren't always posting up vids on youtube, having a cool time offroading and lungeing into shot

Unpleasant??? why? (first and only complaint I have ever had..) have you sat on the rear seat of a camper/caravelle whilst off roading.. now thats a strange senstation...
Must have been Clives that put you off....

I think it's the tiny Doka rear windows that did it. Neils was the worst but then he's got that multivan rear seat fitted, which meant no leg room either for lanky gits like me
I did spend more time bouncing around/hanging on for dear life in the back of that than anything else, I supppose.
Clives was another thing entirely - throttle pedal like an on/off switch and nothing until the pedal was halfway down

never mind the gearchange...

Have you driven your van yet?
Ok ok...If I hadn't wasted so much time sorting out that deal-gone-sour it would be fixed, so both it and I would have done a few muddy miles by now ...I was however very impressed by what can be achieved with a DG at syncropendence, courtesy of Si
So is that a No?

You obiously havnt felt the relaxing sensation and over all quality of the Westfalia Syncro. You should have jumped in while you had the chance and experianced that go anywhere in comfort sensation. Plus the little table at the front is great for skinning up.
