Thanks everyone. It was indeed 7/16ths UNF.
Managed to source them from work, yippee!
I'm only using them to block up the two seat belt mounting holes inside the rear vents (just had holes there for ages... Windy!) so didn't need anything of particular strength, just the correct thread!
