Thanks very much for the help Mark, its not the light now but me! I'm knackered. Will cancel it and re schedule for later on this week. Not looking forward to doing this as the crown isn't easily accessible and don't want to cause more issues moving everything about!

Try taping or tying your washer arm to the steering wheel while moving the earth spade connectors on the crown. May be a quicker way to find out which ones not connecting properly. (with the pump conected of course!)

the fusebox will unscrew and pull forward slightly to improve access to the crowns. disconect battery first!

The phrase 'assumptions are the mother of all f*&k ups' is definitely appropriate in this case!

It was the contact on the stalk. I filed it out a just bent it a little to make a good contact and voila. At least I know how the wiper washer system works now.... (and I didn't have to mess with the fuse box to much).

Thanks all for the help and at least I've learnt a bit so I won't make such a silly error in future :wink:

Btw does anyone need a washer pump?!
