Anti squeal shims maybe present but are they orientated correctly with the lugs present to stop the poston turning.
90% of squeaks on early calipers are down to muppetry of the pistons being put in the wrong place.
Anti squeal shim has 2 finctions, one as the name suggests and secontly they are there to keep the piston in the right place.
Read your Haynes manual.

Replaced leaking master cylinder but still squeaked so fitted new callipers from GSF and have now done a fair few miles with no squeaking 8) 8) 8)

squeeling brakes are common on all a cars ..... when you use aftermarket pads... never ever fit them, it just isnt worth it
