Re: jk fuel valve

Hi, I have gone down the same road replacing with a weber 34DAT.
I bought the weber conversion direct from a webcon dealer, with the fuel return valve on the fuel inlet pipe exactly as you have above.
I have it all installed and has been running great, however...
When going up a steep incline it cuts out and dies with a puff of smoke, it has happened every time I have gone up a steep hill recently.
I either have to over-rev it till smoke pours out of the rear to save stalling or it cuts out as I drop gears, and then takes 15 seconds before it will start up again.
Does anyone have any ideas, so far I can only think of these:
- The Fuel Pump is on the way out.
- Fuel Tank giving sediment through fuel pipe (I have two inline fuel filters, one under near tank, and one just before carb, which is clean)
- Float Chamber emptying on steep incline?
- Incorrectly Jetted?
As you have had issues with the setup of your weber, I thought you might have some advice?, as apart from the cutting out on the hills, it drives great.
- Jason.
