Interesting toys Kev....definately a useful guide to let you know when things are going flat, charging and have reached fully charged condition.
The is always a but  .....but going on those numbers definately just a guide (just a 16amp draw showing when cranking)....surely there is an extra zero on the end of the sixteen? lol or is the ameter isolated from the starter battery?

I got a Holdsworth 1984. I inspected my Alternator today. There are no markings on it or a label, all worn off. It looks fairly used, so guessing it’s a 45 AMP version.

Anyway started up here is my voltage readings

Battery
12.6v - engine off
13.7v - Engine running; no load
13.1v – Lights on
12.7v – Lights, Fan Blower & wipers

Shouldn’t the voltage be higher then that under load?
Mine reads the same with a 6 month old regulator, but I've never had any problems with starting or running the leisure battery, and when we camp I have the stereo on for about 8-10 hours a day from the leisure

he he ...No it's oil pressure at the tappets... and the larger one is interior temp, sad innit :D

Not sure where it's taking the amperage from Martin, suffice to say the cabling is quite substantial and those readings are from what I witness.
I does show all the batteries recharging but only the starter batt when the key is turned.
