yes you can undo the tie rod, but it can be seized/stiff.
not sure you can move the lower arm enough to remove it tho without turning the inner nut.
you can go it by removing the shock/spring and removing the lower arm bolt along with the balljoint so that the lower arm will come away from the van complete with tie rod!

Got round to doing this at last.
Not too much trouble; nuts were quite stiff but came off with the help of a good socket and some rost off. Hardest part was fitting the new bushes. On the side where the bush was worst, the hole in the metal had a repair plate which was slightly narrower than the flange on the new bush. Got it in by lining it up and then screwing the securing plate down over it, forcing it into the slot. Other side went back together more easily, but the hole was quite ovalled - nowt I could do about it, so just bolted the new bush in the correct position and pretended I hadn't noticed.

When i reverse on full lock i get a knocking sound just wondering if itis this bush that is making that noise. Not a problem when in full lock going forward.
