A Multivan is only a Multivan when it was made by VW.
actually it's only a Multivan when a Kombi is shipped to Westfalia and fitted out as such, but hey a faux multivan is just as functional and a bit cheaper,

The 15" alloys fitted are a genuine aftermarket set marketed by ProjektZwo specifically for the T3 and thus I consider them to be correct in the sense that they were what was fitted at the time. The Mefros on the other hand are not correct and are only used when offroading. The Cibie Oscars were also marketed by ProjektZwo at the time. I do have a set of 14" rims somewhere
The 2" lift and the rear light guards are original in the sense that I bought them originally for the other Syncro

So what exactly is a multi-van? My Sync has driver and passenger seats which you can walk between with rear facing removable seats behind each, and a 3 seat bench across the back which folds flat so you can sleep on it and a fold up table. I always understood it to be a multivan but I didn't think that was "rare and difficult to find"? It is also a "Wolfsburg" special which the guy I bought it off said was a good thing?

AFAIK there wasnt any 'special edition' Syncros like there was 2WD vans. I stand to be corrected on that but .....
This is the inside of my Multivan which is a genuine one that has had no mods inside. I think there were lots of accessories/extras that could be added but dont confuse a Multivan with the various 2wd variants that were available - Whitestar, Bluestar, Redstar .... etc
