I'd been thinking about that as well, but I don't think the channel is wide enough for the nozzle of my welder to fit inside it. I'll check this out though.

As far as I can tell from the pic on the jk website it is, although the jk channel looks like it might have something happening in the middle of it, whereas there's nowt there on the Schofields channel. I wonder why I never saw this on jk when I was looking the other week? Probably because I was looking in sill panels rather than side door parts! :roll:

I have variouse spare shrouds and one of them is cut to a wedge so the tip is protruding, lets you get into tight parrallel spaces,

I just pop riveted mine on, then filled the seam top and bottom with seam sealer

A quick update, finally got this job finished today (apart from gluing the seal in place). Got a bit trigger happy with the welder as it took a little while to get the settings right.

Its all been sprayed over with zinc primer since the pics were taken.
