No it is spluttering when cold, but does tick over after first started, its after I have driven it for 5 min or so it just cuts out when I take me foot off the accelerator.

Sounds like water/dirt in the bottom of the carb.. this blocks the idle jet and causes the symptoms you tell.. if its particularly cold out as well, then any moisture in the carb could freeze too.. when its cold the choke overides the idle circuit and adds more fuel.. so will run when cold..
Where are you taking it? unless you know the local garage and they understand these vehicles, I would be searching out and traveling to someone that really knows them..

take a look at the fuel tank and find the little filter.
how's it look?
pull off the tank side pipe and let some fuel spill on the floor
water will bead up but petrol will spread.

Just to add to this,if it dies when you come to a stop when choke comes off. its weak mixture (ie not enough fuel to keep it idling). Lots of things can create that scenario such as missing, loose-fitting or broken vaccum pipes. But you need to think along those lines.
First thing, remove fuel inlet pipe (one to carb) and using a suitably sized screw, extract the small cone filter thats hidden in there. Its wedged in and needs something to grip it to pull it out. Bet its crudded up solid. Clean it (can do this under a kitchen tap with detergent and rubbing it between your fingers to dislodge the gunge). Sometimes that alone will cure it as it can become so clogged, fuel only makes its way to carb under extreme suction, particularly if pump is weak. Mine used to die at junctions due to that and it restricted fuel flow at high speeds too, causing it to lose power sometimes until float chamber refilled.
Replace inline fuel filter as suggested and possibly clean carb and jets out.
As long as leads. dizzy cap and plugs are in good order, I'd leave electrics well alone.

I know a very good t3 mechanic in Wymswold not too far from me. I trust him with the wagon, had many a good review, taking it tomorrow and leaving it with him.
