plus emission and noise tests
Would we pass?

would have to cheak out what the emission regs would be, i would imagen that the petrol vans should be fine, dose any one know how the diesel emishions are worked out and what is the standard at the moment? there should be some way around it if there was a problem.
as for noise dont really know about that, my tyres at the moment make more noise than my engine.

and we could set up a book for the best beard/tash off :D whos your money gona go on?

If you van is standard, why wouldn't it pass the emission and noise regs? Id say that those regs are to control 'specials' and wouldn't be aimed at the likes of us.

quick update :D

2011 tickets come on sale in June this year.

Its about £450 for the driver and the same for your Nav, then you have to add on Tolls, Fuel, accommodation, and the odd bit of food and drink not to mention chains if you don't already have them.

£900 for your places + extras

Tolls are 70 Euro each way from Calais to Orcieres, approx 50% more if your wagon is over 2m high (then it's 'classe 2' tolls).

600 miles from Calais to Orcieres, petrol in France around 1.40 euro per litre Diesel around 1.10.

neil

A bit steep eh and you have to go to all the trouble of growing a decent handlebar moustache must talk to some of my eastern european mates reckon you could do the same or similar in Poland for free and go snowboarding aswell or even go up and visit the lads in Norway for the same and see the Northern lights. :ok Anyhow planning on going somewhere warm this winter methinks anyone on for the Sahara? Think Morroco is calling again :)

Yea this is going to be expensive.
Would need to get a copy of the emmission and noise limits and get them tested locally before we go.
Dont want to drive a 1000 miles to fail scruiteneering.

Cant see this being far off £2k all in from scotland. Hell syncro 25 plus two weeks touring only hit us for £2.5k
