It has had a different connector (same shape but different coloured wires) put on the indicator switch at some point in the past. it looks like they cut the wire to short and just twisted a peace of wire and taped it to bridge the 3'' gap. I noticed the indicator stalk was brown and the wiper one is black too, thats what got me suspicious. Changed the whole lot as i had spare ones tucked away. Funny thing is when i stripped my old van i kept loads of stuff thinking, i dont know why i am bothering i will never need it. I have a tailgate rubber and an accelerator cable left and thats only because the old van was a petrol
