would love to get him out for a run as the main roads are clear but i ive on a side road and also through a old fashioned coal alley so its fun getting him out in the best of conditions on black ice i think it may be a matter of life or death
i was just happy he started i know its not too good for him, will try to get him out asap!

Hello, the question of an idiot here, but would love an alternative to yet another RAC man shaking his head when he sees it's a van..
I have a battery charger, mains operated, but van is parked (and not going anywhere) further down my street. Are there any chargers you can buy that you (ahem) charge up and so don't have to be near a plug socket?
Or do I take the big step of trying to remove the battery and bring it into the flat to charge?

Dont think you can get a battery operated battery chargers

Take it out and charge it up

You can but they're not cheap at about £200, a Google for something like emergency starter battery throws out a couple of things.

Agree'd with you though take it out and charge it, though leaving the battery disconnected when left for periods of time may help to preserve some of the charge so re-charging isn't as neccesary

well i managed to get him out of the ginnel.....(lots of wheel spinning at one point and i thought i had blocked the alley completely!!!) had a nice hour long drive and i must saay im chuffed as punch having being a born worrier i assumed something would make me worry but woo hoo nope....good old henry lets hope i have loads more happy occasions with him. ( im sure there will also be many times when i want to drive him off a cliff too)

You're kidding, right? The T25 handles snow and ice best out of the three vehicles I have to choose from right now. We also went camping over new years on a site entirely covered with sheet ice/thick snow, and it didn't slip as much as once.

Rear engine + real wheel drive = lots of weight over the driven wheels = plenty of traction...
