Mark it, undo the 3 bolts and totally remove it, dont disconnect the hoses or water'll go everywhere! IF that cures the revvin thats where ur problem is and then u can fiddle or relace that bit! Good Luck!

I too now have a rev problem at idle. I will start checking things.
