Because it is an offence under the con & use regs. It is also categorised as being dangerous so VOSA and some police have the power to stop you using the vehicle.

ok, fair enough. I've emailed the compnay back to obtain a re-quote without the fronts.

I have limo at the back and a light smoke tint on the front sides 
of mine and its absolutely fine passed several cops on me travels and no one bats an eye at it,

I've just had a quote of £220 for all behind the cab, and I have 2 lots of sliding windows. Should get it done within a couple of weeks and will let you know the results and details.

Ok post some pics up when you have it done. I got re-quoted £200 for the windows behind the cab to be done.
