I can't make head nor tail of this thread.........although my van had big mirrors fromnew, so possibly the position of the extra holes would tell which way VW expected them to be mounted?

BTW I wouldn't trust Euan about mirrors, he doesn't work as one - I asked him if I was fine, and he said "yeah, just go forward and turn left" - that's when I wrapped the van completely round the tree.......

Cate, they are no use inside they have to go outside the van so you can see the trafic instead of just the kids in the back.

Jen, yes I,m no use as a mirror, give it a couple of years and my bald spot will be large enough to polish shiney.

thanks for your input everyone.ive read the thread now mr hell and thats cleared it up.ive even had jake round this morning on his way to work to sort this problem out.im going to put the on the inermost position,so thats it
