Pete & Muna,
Absolutley cracking evening and morning - Pete hope you are feeling a little more alive now!
Lots of luck and the very best to you both. Keep in touch you've got our numbers, help is always just a phone call away.
The morning after -
Sharon took the liberty of a few pics this morning while YOU LOT WERE STILL SLEEPING, it was 7am ish though
And then the early morning flight, not for the faint hearted and Clive stayed in bed for it.

Cracking party Pete & Muna, don't need to tell you I enjoyed it, specially the keg of ale (well most of it!) and the disco
Also ta for the loan of the camper hotel, toasty as a toasted thing last night without any heating
Have a great trip, and best wishes for getting sorted down there
(Yeh, wasn't the Thwaites or late night, watching others fly makes me a bit wistful these days

)

Looks like your ideal long distance cruiser Ian... was like a hotel lounge inside and as warm as a *censored* .... shame the engine's in front where you can't get at it

hehe! or a 'proper' microlight
I know what you mean Aidan, looking down on the wee plebs below, was always a bit of a blast... on a pure glider they often didn't even know you were up there.. something slightly surreal and

about that

good morning both and what route are you taking? do you have to get a "carne de passage" for any of the countries?.
we plan to leave for Africa in the new year so any info would be handy.
good luck.

Slight change of subject, but do you really not need a licence for a Paramotor ? Do you need a medical ? I cant pass the CAA one any more.......

He seemed to think not..
But anything with a motor that gets airborne needs a licence and qualified pilot was my understanding, though CAA used to waive that (or prefer not to prosecute) when microlights first started taking to the air - that lasted about two years. Maybe paramotors have that dispensation (until theres evidence accidents are too high or 3rd parties get injured)
