Some great sleepy spots round that way, and a few lakes/ponds you can set up BBQ next to as well. A full weekends laning if you really want!
We should make the effort and take the time to do some wild camping round their rather than drive to the a*** end of Wales for a jolly for a change

That's the one Jed,
Maybe one of you could give the start/finish waypoints for
earlybay
Like Neil said, it's like an ancient beach that's been stranded inland, with sparse vegetation suited to the poor soil and high drainage.
Sources say this sandy soil is due to intense prehistoric farming...

I prefer the more romatic inland beach or river estuary theory
Many of these areas were traditionally commonland, but rights have been given up steadily over the last hunderd years or so.

I have it logged on my gps, let me get it after work and have a look. I think the sandy lane is towards the end of this video from when we went last time. there is a nice little f0rd at the end too.

All of the usuable lanes are kept listed on a live RoW DB kept by Surrey County Council O'n their website- that's only one of quite a few lanes (and many pubs) in area.. As Clive hopefully found out!

Tomorrow may be the last day you can see anything like ...
this year.
From midnight tomorrow high wind & rain will like as not, strip the trees.
If you're anywhere near fallow deer country, the rut will also soon be at an end, Oct 21st being the trigger date (apparently)
