No, you're wrong MM. It's that long bit from near Loch Ness to that bit where you get the rumble strip approaching London! So there! :P

I'm probably a little late on this but today we went up Sutton Bank near Thirsk, mostly in second. Its a 25% hill and caravans are barred (ha!). We made it fine but she did get a bit hot and spat some water out of the expansion tank!
Motorway cruising at 100kph is comfortable and no temperature issues. Averaging 33mpg if my maths is right.

Mines a tin-top ex panel van which pops along at 60mph, 70 downhill with the wind behind and she made it up Porlock Hill, admittedly in 1st (out of 5) gear at one point. You do get great mpg at these speeds though!

I'm sure it helps not having an upside down boat on the top :))
