i get the 5 litre blue and 5 litre pink the pink stuff is cheaper than the blue but both are massively concentrated, so that you only have to put a teaspoon in! not bought any for at least two years!
that said if we are away for a weekend i don't usually bother with the blue, i just empty it when i get home. if it's half full and has blue in it it stays half full till it's topped up then i empty it!

I bought some Fenwicks T&T this weekend and was slightly worried that I'd bought the correct stuff for our basic Thetford Potty. Happy now!
(this is a proper back from the dead thread)

We have used both and found the cheap stuff to be JUST as effective at de-odourizing and handling the waste, in fact more effective because at 50p you tend to use a stronger solution than that recommended by these proprietry brands. We found that we could smell 'the weeeeee' when we used the expensive stuff at their recommended mix but had a nice pleasant odour using the cheap stuff at perhaps a stronger ratio.

Precisely what we've done for years. No doubt someone will come along and say it's not environmentally friendly/free-range toilet cleaner like Thetford sell ... the only thing that matters to me is that it don't bugger up the seals in the toilet. And if it did (and it hasn't in our's over the past 3 years with this Porta-Potti) you can afford to buy a nice, shiney new one with the money you've saved
Ian.
Is that for flush and waste?

I'd only use it for flushing purposes. you need the specific type blue stuff to break down waste and paper in the tank and to eliminate nasty whiffs, the stuff you flush it through with is simply to clean the bowl afterwards. Just be careful when you're mixing different chemicals as they can sometimes give of quite potent gasses.
that said, I used toilet duck type stuff in the flush of my caravan toilet for years with no problems (but
always put the blue stuff in the bottom - no pun intended )
