have you checked things like valves? as if they are tight when cold the engine will run but as it warms expansions kicks in and suddenly they run like pants.....

Its electronic ignition.
I have now discovered that it does have a low compression.
Does anybody have a spare engine for sale?

two more possibilities; 1-clagged up air filter
2-exhaust blockage eg.baffles collapsed or maybe spud in tail pipe...You never know?
