I don't think that a new front panel is needed , that is fixable , mine was the same

what kind of price are you paying to have your windscreen corners fixed Irish? Is he taking the windscreen out? I just got a quote to have mine done, and they said that they would have to get someone in to take out the and replace the windscreen as they don't have the tools, this would cost about £70 on top (plus if the glass or seal brakes).
They quoted 510 to fix and finish the windscreen corners and fit and finish new panel in bottom section (supplied by me). So basically 600 once I've paid to have the windscreen out!!
Hope to try somewhere else next week, but this place was recommended.

What you guys are increasingly aware of is that panel repair/bodywork , esp welding ,is expensive but mainly in labour costs -- i went through the same awareness process before doing me welding course , but im lucky in that i don't have a job; if that front panel were mine ( mine was a wee bit worse than that ) I would cut out up to the fold , treat with weldetch primer , tack weld a bit of 1.2 or 1 mm new metal ( prepared fully ) to it , seam weld it or use evostik metal glue /filler ,then seam sealer and full regime of red prime , paint , loads of layers ; with the metal i already have , it would cost about £20 at most .
Or you can go to work, earn money , pay tax on it , then pay someone else to do it and pay his tax too.

I cut out the rot, got a sheet of steel and made a new piece to fit , pretty much the same as what jaylo264 has just said
