we did roundhill a few weeks ago.very nice...cows and ponies wandering about...but its 20 notes and no hook up!!!maybe im tight but i reckon thats a little steep just for a pitch...

We did Roundhill to in August....loved it, ya abit expensive and no hook up but worth it...
Oh and I got some thermal mats off the for sale section the other week (thanks mininut). Used them for first time last weekend, ya they do keep van warmer. Well worth the money

Homebase have the single ply stuff on a buy-one-get-one-free deal at the moment. We made our own with this stuff (as we have a panel van and didn't want to shell out for screens we wouldn't use) and it works nicely, although we've only tried them in summer so far. Pack of 20 stick on shower hooks on ebay were a few quid.

Stayed at Roundhill and was impressed with the site. Mind you i'm not sure how it would be in the summer. Can imagine it getting pretty over run and packed out.

Thermo blankets worked a treat and we're off to Wiltshire this weekend to use them again.

You can buy the same stuff that JK sell off fleabay its 1.5 mtrs wide & 26 quid plus P&P per 1.5 mtrs. Not Cheap but you can cut it to size and if you have carpet you can use VELCRO but i would recomend stiching the velcro and not putting it all around the edge as its tougher that it looks & will quickly shred youre nice carpeted lining.

I Use both velcro & suckers.

If you just want something lighter then there is 'Silver Screens", but they are a bit stuck in their ways & dont like veering from routine patterns.

Roundhill was a fantastic site - random camping, Kampers and tents, not too many caravans and a good price! I haven't been there since it was taken over by the Caravan club but the price quoted bodes of things to come. ---Officious wardens, parking in a line, always to the left of your plot, everyone watching strictly on their teles and no one just enjoying what camping should be about - fresh air, getting away from the comforts of home, staring at stars - things that when you are a kid are magical and hopefully you will remember for the rest of your life.

Oh well maybe a i am a cynic - but really has the caravan club actually improved the camping experience.............

Just got back from Roundhill (on RAC transporter but that's a different story). A bit annoying having to pay extra for not being a caravan club member, but other than that it was great - pitch up where you like, great showers, no sign of a warden telling people what to do, peace & quiet and ponies & donkeys wandering around. I should imagine it's very busy in summer though, but we shall def go back in the quiet season (camp site shuts tomorrow for winter)

JK thermo mats worked a treat - made one to fit the sunroof out of one of those silver beach mats and 4 suckers.

I have covers that are made from sail cloth (from a wind surfer - quite rigid but still flexible enough). Each corner has a neat popper that is easy to use. Don't know what they are called but it releases when you pull on the tip. Requires very little force compared to normal poppers. They black things out nicely. No sucker marks on the window and best of all pack down to a fraction of the size thermo mats do.

They look impressive.

Where did you get them from
