An old syncro with no MOT or tax isnt worth more than £500 at most.
But if its something special the price is reflected on that
I was offered a 5 figure sum

for my red one and tured it down

and when my expidition 16 is finished i would be insulted if someone offered
£16000 for it.But it wont be for sale.
Personaly i think ure westy is worth a lot more than 99.99999% of people
in uk are willing to part with.
Most people here want to much for wrecks and arnt willing to pay for
quality.(there are off course exeptions to that)
Good luck with the sale but dont let it go to cheap.
Well thats my 2p worth.

Theres a Syncro on mobile for €1800 might be jus the job for offroading---because I'm fecked if I'd off road summat I'd jus payed €22k for -----so come on lets be serious-- if anyone on here bought the said Syncro for the £8k plus or whatever--what would you do with it--take it to Coney farm--?!--drive thru 4 feet of water-fill the inside wiv mud--bottom it out on rocks?-----No syncro you can off road is worth anything like £3k---or it wouldnt be once yerd offroaded it---

Its not for off-roading it at the drop of a hat, half a dozen times a year, this ones for getting you out of seriosu trouble when you have little or no option - and to take you pretty much wherever you want to go.
I agree that for off-road 'events' per se, if you do little else with it, then a practical approach to what you pay and how you configure it makes sense. I paid under £2000 for my Doka, but boy, as Russel says, was there anything on it or in it that didn't need replacing/fixing/refurbing?
NO - try adding that up at even £10/hour + parts, let alone £30 or £40

--well of course it does help havin a workshop Russel--but point I'm makin--is if you want the total Syncro offroad experience--your gonna collect a few dents on the way--so I would say anyone payin £8k+ for a Syncro(apart from your goodself) is gonna restrict 'emselves to a little light greenlaning about once a year--

--now why am I assumming he'll want 8k for this Syncro?--it may be much more--

take yer point about repairs Clive--If yer look on mobile at the moment theres army green Syncros for about €6000----they certainly look well maintained--

Having my own workshop dose help. And yes there are lots of dents
and scrapes on the way.But fortunatly i just fix them.i supose if i couldnt it would be a different story.
I would say his westy is worth a lot! more than £8000.
In europe or amer(cant complete that)he will get that.
There was a 14 westy syncro that sold for 22000US last year.
