AA Relay anyone? Usually pays for itself time & again in the first year or two of ownnership until you work out what's going to fail next and make sure you're one step ahead :)
Once you know the beast well enough, then you can decide to keep AA or not.

I would hope to recoup a bit on the brand new turbo via good old eBay

AAZ could have either a 3-bolt or 4 bolt turbo flange (hence needing the JX manifold if going for a low turbo JX miounting)

Pros & cons are having to make up a slightly different exhaust pipe to keep the AAZ turbo position

If it has the 4-bolt or you go JX, then keeping a spare turbo is a good idea... it's one of the weaker areas and oil pressure is dependent upon the turbo (not doing its bearings or seals in).
Wait till it's all running nicely for a month or two before flogging it, adn then try to have a spare of some sort stashed away!
