Tug of war - we thought of this for SP1...

Now why didn't we do it, remind me someone please... should be a bit of fun?

Nothing to do with it turning into a "who's picked the least breakable bit of van to attach the tow rope to" competition or god forbid a practical demonstration of what happens to towing gear (and vans and spectators) when it parts under load?

Or how to burn out your clutch in one easy lesson?

If anyone saw the Top Gear tug o'war between the Merc SL and a tug o' war team I think, if it were conducted on flat, grassy ground it would probably turn into a 'let's see who can dig the biggest hole for their van' competition.

Not really worth the risk of the strain on towing points, really.

Sumo...

We'd need a Japanese clay pit for that, and must get a Shinto priest to bless it before we start, so that's out on cost grounds, and damned if I'm wearing one of those silk wraps in tis weather (well, forget the weather, at all, at all)

Thomas, you said in there, "macho's and live witht hem all the time.."

not far behind the attacamas then? with a modern tread design and some road use...
they were what I was leaning towards, before you said attacama....

I have found with having machos on for road use there is a bit of 'roll' on cornering as the rubber blocks 'give', ok once you've got used to it but a bit alarming at first.
