Why some people go into such a frenzy of protectionism as soon as the word gas is mentioned is beyond me. I am surprised that they have the courage to walk in the dangerous outside world away from their cotton wool filled houses!

I agree to a certain extent Oldie, but remember some of the set ups are DIY jobs. Also, it would make sense to let the engine do the work for cooling when driving and save a little gas? Once a fridge is at temperature the 12v system can maintain it OKsih whilst travelling.

The petrol and lpg supply an enclosed system. The fridge gas is a naked flame exposed to the air. I'll stick with the 12v option since it's just as good - there have been times when I have simply forgotten to turn the gas off though
