Everyone thinks OH Subaru speed freak. They are wrong. What pi$$ed me off about the 1.9DG i had was i couldn't safely move between motorway traffic. It would cruise at anything between 50-70mph but if you wanted to overtake a lorry doing 56mph it didn't have the nutz to move into the the flow of traffic. At 70mph mine is sitting at 4,000rpm with another 2,500rpm in store shoud i need it. Not ridiculing anyone but you know it makes sense.

That is very true Pep but the Aircooled thing is a cult that you will never talk the thousands of other Aircooled owners into moving away from m8:wink:

On a little jaunt down the motorway yesterday i got an indicated 90 mph, I t was rather scary to be honest, a little bit more of side wind and it would have been a lot scarier though! Normally it'll sit at 75-80 all the way from Bristol to Devon (depending on the traffic!) with no apparent probs.

in fine fettle 75 mph all day long. and that was in a hi top too!!!

As above I run on LPG I can sit at 75 no issues. (TomTom 75 not dash 80)

Getting around 17MPG at that speed

On petrol can squeze a bit more ommph.
