Got a 3mtr awning rail fixed to the 'Devon' pop top. Got the figure of eight option too.

Because they are easier and cheaper to post. Find a local caravan shop with the 3 meter one.

Sorry, I don't live in your area and have never been near your area of country. I simply told you why the others are in 3 pcs and made a suggestion. :run

Sorry Lloyd my response was not meant to come across as being rude. Far from it.

I made some calls to local caravan dealers/accesories shops today and none of them stocked it or knew where it could be purchased.

Cheers for your advice though its greatly appreciated.

:ok

Try the caravan place at Parkend, on the right hand side as you drive through Parkend. They might be able to help you out...sorry can't remember the name of the place.

Agreed. Also a lot easier to fit it onto your van when it's in short sections, imho.

**Potentially dumb question alert**

If you thread your awning onto the rail (that you permanently fitted to the van) then how on earth do you make use of the 'drive away' feature of the awning? and more confusingly how would you reattach the awning without some super special driving or un-pegging the awning to re-thread it onto the rail?

Apologies if this is stupid question 101!

Use a drive away kit:

Thats the set up I have. Worked a treat. Just slid the figure of eights off and away you go. I guess If you mark your wheel positions before you disconnect the awning should make it easier to re-align

:ok
