Hi there, firstly thanks to everyone for all the help to the ' New Boy!!'. Taking it all in. Jake, that would be great, we are about most days so whenever is convenient to you, we would be most grateful of any advice and taking it out. Was worrying last night that we'd done the wrong thing getting it, so the sooner I can take it out and see what it does and dosn't do the better. Let me know. We went to a local guy today who has a couple of crewcabs but he couldnt tell us much, he's never been off road in his syncro's!
Perhaps we can arrange a time. Thanks so for the offer.

Hi

No problem! Good to have another syncro in the area, especially if its someone who is willing to use it offroad.

Sadly I'm busy this weekend and next, so it'll have to be one evening, I can try escape from the office early one day next week and head down.

If you'd like to PM more your mobile and postcode so as I can look you up and we can arrange.

As DiamondHell says, I wouldn't go driving it too far without diagnosing if the VC is good bad/ or the tyres are mismatched etc. Hopefull we can try and establish next week whats what...

Get it jacked up at the back, get some wood battens out and get the VC tested - I'm trying to organise VCs via Syncronutz for a couple more people and if this one's failed it could be added to this batch.

There also may be a set of Atacamas available for someone to use during Coney, too......

John & all,

I don't want to cause any upsets but, has anybody actually checked to see if this is the Syncro Pickup I posted on this forum as being stolen on Feb 9th? It sounds a bit dodgy especially if it is white with no paperwork.

Can you confirm it is /is not this vehicle.

Details of Stolen Pickup; White Turbo diesel Pickup. Chassis Number 24LG02217 Engine Number jx175928.. Stainless rear canvas hoops 8)

As soon as we saw the info on the stolen one we went straight to the pick up to check. We have old Mot's and the chassis no. and engine no are different. There were no hoops with it just a torneau cover. If you want the dealers no. I am more than happy to give it to you, he is a legit dealer, sells lots of motors, fom his home in Kent.
We were pretty worried about it, but all the no.s are different. This was registered on the 3/8 1990, as he did have the bottom part of the keepers supplement.

This one's been knocking about for months before the other one was stolen.
